We always feel wonderful when our wedding families take the time to write to us about their wedding experience here at the Inn. Below is a sampling of just a few of the many we receive.
"Courtney and Ryan"
"Dear Mrs. Gray,
Just a little more than a year ago, my daughter, Courtney and her then fiancé, Ryan, met my husband and myself in Freeport. They had both graduated from Bowdoin and had decided that they wanted to be married at the Bowdoin Chapel. Their only choice for their reception was at the Harraseeket since we all frequented the Inn whenever we visited Courtney."
"Lucy and Travis"
"Dear Mrs. Gray,
Travis and I wanted to express our sincere appreciation to you and everyone else at the Inn who helped to make the weekend of out October 28th wedding such a spectacular event. Everyone from Melissa to the cleaning staff did a wonderful job. We especially appreciated Melissa’s help in relocating afternoon tea on Saturday to the dining room so we could take our wedding photos in the beautiful room off the lobby. Also, Theda was a great sport with working around many severe food allergies in our family, and the end result was a delicious meal we really appreciated. Ruby’s flowers were beautiful as well and she was a joy to work with. Finally, the staff at the Tavern was wonderful about accommodating many of our guests late on Friday and Saturday nights both and we realize we were a loud and demanding group. Many thanks again for everything. Our wedding was perfect."

"Tara and Scott"
"Our daughter Tara was home from the west coast a couple of weeks go and we were having dinner int he Maine Dining Room when Jean Marie walked by. She recognized us immediately and came over to say hello. It was wonderful to see her and to reminisce about Tara's wedding together. It reminded me that perhaps the people who make our lives the easiest don't always get the recognition they deserve.
"I would like to take this opportunity to tell you how pleased we are that we decided to have Jean Marie take over the wedding plans of our daughter, Tara, to Scott in October of 2008. We were going to put in a new kitchen until Tara came to us and said that she wanted to get married. Well, our kitchen walked down the aisle on the most gorgeous weekend of the season.
"I like to entertain and have done so for many years, but I cannot tell you how wonderful it was to leave all the plans to a very competent person such as Jean Marie. I worked with her, the chef and one of the most talented floral designers I have ever seen--Ruby. What a treasure she is. I look at the pictures and marvel at the beauty of her arrangements.
"We had the most elegant and sumptuous cocktail hour. Our friends and family still marvel at the food and service. Of course, we have been going to the Harraseeket for years for dinner--and lunch in the Tavern--so we knew how good the food was. Sitting down with the chef--going over the menu--was a real treat for me. He was very accommodating and patient, and it was just a part of the fun that we were able to have because of your staff.
"The part I liked the most is the good time I had at my own daughter's wedding. I didn't have to worry about a thing!"
