L.L. Bean's Grand Opening

L.L.Bean’s iconic flagship store in Freeport is nearing the completion of its $50 million “Re-Boot” renovation, with a grand reopening planned for September 18–20, 2026.

Grand opening events through October will include concerts, a heritage celebration featuring vintage products, special guest appearances from the Red Sox team and the Hearts of Pine, Visit Freeport’s 27th Annual Freeport Fall Festival, Camp Sunshine’s Pumpkinfest, contests, giveaways and more. Northern Lights will take over the expanded Discovery Park in early November with an extended holiday celebration and the return of New Year’s Eve festivities.
